Meeting Rooms!

Happy Saturday! The library is opening 4 small meeting rooms on a trial basis to allow for private meetings. Room Reservations can be made by visiting our Reserve A Room page. In addition to our usual meeting room policies we’ve also add a mask requirement for those reservations with more than 1 person. If you need a mask, just ask at the Service Desk. Summer Update

July 30, 2020

As summer rolls along, road construction near the library is winding down. We are delighted that the new traffic circle at 2nd and Mulberry has finally opened and 2nd St between Cedar and Walnut has also reopened! That means it’s much easier to get to and from the library from all directions now. The constructions crews are still wrapping up some of the landscaping and other details but the roads are open and the library looks forward to seeing more of you come visit. The Library is Reopening June 1st, 2020!

The Musser Public Library & HNI Community Center is excited to announce that as part of our Phased Reopening process, we are opening our doors to the public again on June 1st, 2020 at 10am! We will have reduced services (all the details can be found here) as well as reduced hours (M-F 10-6pm, Sat 10-2pm, & Sun 1-3pm). All the meeting rooms and study rooms will also be closed until further notice. All programming and events are also canceled until further notice. We are happy to announce that we have successfully begun our Contactless Curbside Pickup. We’ve been busy getting materials off the shelves and scheduling pickups to get them to you. It’s a delight to see our patrons again and get back to a small semblance of normalcy. Thank you to everyone for your patience as we get this new-to-us service off the ground. Contactless Curbside Pickup Starting Monday, May 4th!

We are excited to announce that we are starting Contactless, Curbside Pickup, on Monday, May 4th! For all the details visit our Curbside Pickup FAQ. Starting this Friday, patrons will be able to place holds on only Musser items and once you are notified they are ready, you have to call (563-263-3065 ext. 1) down to the library and schedule a pickup time. We’ve finally got our first nice weather of the year and with any luck, the snow is gone for good. It’s a delight to see the new green leaf buds and the flowers opening on the fruit trees. Getting outside and breathing some fresh air seems like a true gift these days. We are staying busy at the library, catching up on long, overdue projects like inventorying our entire collection which is close to 80,000 items and cleaning all our materials!
