DESCRIPTION:Join Mr. Taylor for an adventure\, a story and some fresh air each Thursday morning during the Summer Reading Program! This week we will meet at Weed Park\, 1 Park Ave.\, in the aquatic center parking lot. (Look for Mr. Taylor’s big pink flag.) The topic is the history of Weed Park as we come close to its 125th anniversary! Learn about how and why Muscatine’s oldest park shaped up to what it is now and how it has changed over time! These hikes are for children ages 4-9 accompanied by an adult. Please dress for the weather. Sunblock and bug spray are recommended.

The park and wildlife area is 182 acres that offer mowed trails\, dense oak timber cover\, wetlands\, native prairie\, and woodlands. The summer story hikes are for children ages 4-9 accompanied by an adult. Please dress for the weather and wear good walking shoes. Sunblock and bug spray are recommended!
