Community Garden Open House and Garden Planning Session

Meet other gardeners and find out how to get the most from your garden in 2015. Whether you have your own garden plot or want to use a Community Garden space, these tips and strategies from Master Gardeners will help you have the best gardening experience this year.

5:00pm – Community Garden Open House: Find out what community spaces are available for gardening in 2015 and how to join. Garden Produce appetizers served!

6:00pm – Garden Planning Session:  Presentation by ISU Master Gardeners.  Topics include:  Square Foot Gardening, utilizing your sunlight, soil types, bedding plants or seeds, watering, and preventing diseases and weeds.

Tools needed for Community Garden participants
Garden Coordinators say there is a need for tools for their community gardeners. Bring new or used but good condition garden tools to help community garden participants be successful this year. Each item donated gets an entry for the Blue Zones Project gift basket raffle prize.
