June 1, 2021
Summer Reading 2021 will be taking kids, teens, and families on quests of their choosing through City of Muscatine parks. Musser Library will be teaming up this year with Parks and Recreation to get families into the library and back out into the sunshine in search of fun, challenges and prizes. “Summer Quest 2021” encourages all ages to read for pleasure, and to build their brains as well as their bodies during vacation from school. As always, participants may read books to earn prizes; and this year they can also choose to select a Summer Reading Quest to unlock clues for tokens to be found throughout the city parks. The first 200 children and teens to enroll will receive a water bottle with the Library and City Parks and Rec logos, as well as all the related Summer Reading materials. Summer Reading officially kicks off on June 1st! Stop by Musser Library between 10 am and 4 pm on June 1st for the Summer Reading Sign-up Kickoff! Read for prizes and join a Quest: Pirates, Kingdoms, Game On, Magic School, Fandoms Unite, or Readers Assemble! We’ve got you covered, thanks to Friends of Musser Library, CBI Bank & Trust. Summer Reading is free of charge and open to all. Musser Library extends a big thank you to Parks and Rec for their partnership in Summer Quest 2021. |
